Nazarite Vow knows their stuff. Time and hard work has labelled them stalwarts of an Adelaide music scene thriving with quality. A scene that gave birth to bands like I Killed the Prom Queen and Day of Contempt/Dear and Departed is not an easy one to take hold of but with their latest outing; Conspirators, it’s not hard to see why Nazarite Vow are becoming an unstoppable force.
With its mix of dirty southern rock guitar and brutal hardcore vocals, Conspirators is a heart pounding experience. From the get-go, Nazarite Vow hit hard and don’t let up. Tracks like Prisoners and Dictators cruise from heavy, head-banging riffs into melodic, ethereal open space and then right back into some of the heaviest mosh riffs you’re likely to hear in a while. It is an unlikely combination of dissonance and oddly tight structure that gives Conspirators its unique edge. Fans of ANYTHING on the harder end of the musical spectrum, get excited!
The only thing better than knowing you have six tracks to constantly repeat till you’ve screamed your voice into oblivion is that if this is any indication, their next outing should be longer and just as damn good.
Nazarite Vow’s Conspirators hits stores on June 6th but until then, pre-order yourself a copy and make sure you get it in your hot little hands before everyone else!!
